Allow disabling automatic beaming

This might be worked around by whatever comes out of #58, but I'm looking for a way in vextab to disable automatic beaming completely. I have a series of eighths notes that I want to display separately, but it doesn't seem to work.

I've worked around for now by commenting out all calls to generateBeams, but a better way to do this would be great.
