PM view doesn't maintain webview state

When you view a PM, the request fetches the data and inserts it into the message webview. If you hit the settings icon, so it opens the settings activity, when you exit and the PM fragment resumes the webview is blank - it actually looks like it keeps the message but then gets cleared, like the data is being fetched again but coming back blank
