It shouldn't be too difficult to at least make sure the code parses correctly.

Yes that is a nice start and maybe we can add more and more checks over time when we think of things.
I don't mean it as keeping the issue open forever but new issues when we stumble on situations where things can be checked.

@sharwell Beyond parsing, one of my thoughts was that validation of names would be good. It's a refactoring hole right now.
