have a way to display number of records from each contributor on the contributor page

Low hanging fruit is to expose the harvest sources and their numbers first (already available).

More complicated is parsing the metadata to expose individual Creators / Publishers as individual facets

not ideal because easy for record numbers to get out of sync.
