"I support research fighting" value resets when Safari browser is quit/re-opened

1. Open "Web Control" (http://client.foldingathome.org) on Safari (v15.5, MacOS 12.4)
2. Set "I support research fighting" to "High Priority" (or anything other than "Any disease")
3. Quit Safari
4. Open Safari
5. View "Web Control" to see "I support research fighting" has reset to "Any disease"

Safari, Chrome and Safari all exhibit the same issue when accessing "Web Control" via http://client.foldingathome.org/. However, accessing "Web Control" via http://127.0.0.1:7396/ on all three browsers work just fine
