Environment

F@H v8.1.18
Ubuntu v22.04.1 LTS
Firefox v117.0

Expected Behavior

Folding on all 4 GPUs should continue without random rebooting/restarting of computer that occurs when starting folding via web client.

Current Behavior

Crashing (restarting/rebooting) of computer occurs:

  • noticed newer Core in use (that was not used when folding on all GPUs was stable).
  • all temps are good (< 55 degrees C).
  • GPU (combined) power usage restricted to ~ 60% of PSU maximum capacity.

Can I access log prior to the crashing event?

If your computer is rebooting this is a bug outside of F@H. F@H may be triggering the bug but to cause a reboot it would have to be either a GPU driver error, an OS error or a hardware fault.

You could try upgrading your graphics drivers.

Now that you mention outside errors i remember having a rebooting issue that I think was related to the OS. I'll go try and tap them for advice.

Thanks @jcoffland!
