Working fine for me now on Ubuntu 24.04 and Gnome 46.0, but I did have to configure the ufw firewall first. I can't remember if this came enabled in the default install or if I enabled it while messing with something else but might be worth checking out.

I don't think OP has a firewall issue. The issue is that all the shorcuts (currently connected phone, view/send text, ring the phone, etc) doesn't appear in the quick setting menu under Gnome 46/Ubuntu 24.04

I've finally been able to make it work by opening "gnome-extensions-app" and checking the main checkbox at the top of the list, for some reason it was turned off. After that, turn on GSConnect too if it is off.
This should look like this:

My firewall is setup correctly for GSConnect. Extensions are enabled. I'm missing the GSConnect icon in the top panel. I'm missing the quick settings menus. The GSConnect settings show that it's connected to my phone... even if GSConnect is turned off.

I just uninstalled GSConnect, and reinstalled it, and it's all working now.

Thanks for the update @heynnema.

Not ideal, but since the issues both you and @ArthurKnoep had were ultimately transient, I'm going to close this as "just one of those things". Extension activation/upgrade isn't 100% reliable, unfortunately. And since it's not under our control, it's unlikely we could do much about this anyway.
