On NetBSD, the timelord daemon isn't creating a pid in /var/run for itself. This means the NetBSD init system cannot stop the process after it's been started.
# service timelord onestart
# service timelord onestop
timelord not running? (check /var/run/timelord.pid).
Also affects a2boot, which is based on the same code.
