I'm thinking that to be less confusing, there should be a dummy account called something like (Webchat) for relaying the messages, like this:

(This account might even set itself as invisible so as not to be conspicuous in the sidebar.)

This is certainly functional. If someone wants to make it look fancier though that is totally an option
