maybe try using the standard UIPickerView instead?

Actually, I'm considering whether I should add vertical option to AKPickerView which was originally made as "a horizontal version of UIPickerView," and I think you should use standard libraries when you can use it.
Of course I know there is a PR which implements vertical option, but currently I don't have enough time to review it…
