Overview blur has just stopped working in Fedora 40 using GNOME 46. It has happened just after a general MESA and AMD VA drivers update, so could be related. I am also using the patched triple-buffered Mutter.

Update: The bug is quite quirky to reproduce. I just found out that it only happens when I am using an external monitor in a join configuration (aka "extend screens") and with the external monitor set as main screen. The blur effect in overview doesn't show in the external monitor but it does on the laptop screen. When the build-in screen is set as the main one, the blur appears on both screens.

Nevertheless, it never has happened before, as I was using it till last week flawlessly.

I've been having this issue on both Fedora 40 and OpenSuse Tumbleweed. I noticed today that the scaling for my second display was changed to 125% (I don't remember changing it from 100% where it usually is). When I changed it back to 100%, the extension worked again. I changed it back to 125% to see if I could reproduce it but the extension still worked fine so it's difficult to reproduce.
