Through conversation with @B-acland was reminded of themed cafés and specifically Lego Café 💭 🧱 ☕ ❤️

For a quick overview, they have an intro on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@somebodyfeedkaz/video/7299002547753291041
(they don't have a YT channel ... just this Fentanyl 🤦‍♂️ but you can watch it without registering or getting sucked-in ...)

Their website is slick and they have a clear system for people to book a time to visit & build:

They charge £3/person/hour to play and make a profit on the coffee/snacks too! 😮

FAQ: https://buildersbrewcafe.com/how-it-works annoyingly there's no way to expand all questions/answers at once
and each time you click on a different one the previous contracts, so individual screenshots it is ... 🙃

This kind of indoor activity café works best in a place with plenty of annual rainfall. 🌧️
Parents/grandparents need somewhere to take their kids when it's pouring.
It's way cheaper "rent" the Lego and space than to buy tons of lego and have to store it after kids play with it a couple of times and move on ...

A seller on Vint was selling new sets of Lego for much cheaper than retail e.g:

So I bought all of the sets that looked relevant to our budding Lego enthusiast children:

yes, I spent some cash on this:

But as you can see, spent less on these 13 sets than the retail price of the one helicopter!! 🚁
So if we look after them we will sell them for a profit when our kids outgrow them. ⏳

He also had a bunch Star Wars and Harry Potter collectible Lego sets that I’m not keen on (for kids)

Anyway, FYI. 👌

@iteles as you can see from the list of sets above, there are a few Technics sets, e.g: Technic Telehandler 42133

https://amzn.eu/d/gUlZTFP €67 retail, paid ~€9 inc fees & post.

We could literally hold these for 3 months until Xmas and double our money. 📈

But just to say we are keeping the Technics in the big box (out of sight if kids) for a year or so and drip-feed them gradually. ⏳👌
