Hi! Since electron is chromium based hence doesn't support audio codes like AC3 so I found this resource which can help us add support for the required A/V codes in electron. The demand is to clone the official source, patch it and re-build it. How can I then add support for widevine in it? Since castlabs has open source for adding support I wasn't able to understand much.

It would be a great help if someone can drop some guides or hints. Thanks!

Hi,

The only option available at this time is to go through the Widevine 3PL program since VMP is a requirement for commercial use on desktop platforms (Linux excluded). I'm not sure if this would interest you, but if it does you can contact our 3PL team using the information in the link above.
