Fix PEcAn bugs

There were so many issues with PEcAn.ED2 that I decided to work on them before continuing with #986.

Relevant issues and PRs

• model2netcdf.ED2() only converts data for first PFT PecanProject/pecan#2974

• PEcAn.utils::mstmipvar() condition has length > 1 error PecanProject/pecan#2981

• Bugfixes for model2netcdf.ED2() PecanProject/pecan#2985

• completed when PR is reviewed and merged

So the bug in model2netcdf.ED2() where it was only converting data for the first PFT is fixed. However, I now don't know how to use the output .nc files. There is no discernible way to map the data to individual PFTs making the outputs not useful. model2netcdf.ED2() may need more work from someone more familiar with netcdf files. So I may end up going back to Kristina's workaround afterall.
