In order to avoid using databags or keeping powerful secrets in the codebase, we could potentially utilize the multi-user functionality of Pingdom. This requires adding an HTTP header to the request, and would require a bit of refactoring to facilitate in this cookbook. I imagine you could create :multiusername or :authusername or something like that. Does the gem you are using allow for this?
