BASIC: Import Errors : When trying to run tool_creator.py

When i try to run the tool_creator.py the system gives me this error

And this is where the problem starts

Im sorry i know its dumb to bring up basic importing issues, but can someone help me out. this is unnecessarily hard. I see others building things out of them in the discussions and i cant get it to run. Also is no one else having this problem when trying to run the code ?

Type 'echo $PYTHONPATH' and share result

pretty sure were not supposed to be receiving this as the result

so Echoing $PYTHONPATH just gives back "$PYTHONPATH"

If you are using bash go to project dir and type 'export PYTHONPATH=$(pwd)'

Try running the script again and/or 'echo $PYTHONPATH'

Im using CMD, in Visual Studio Code. If its not too much problem can you explain me what is the problem here and What is the expected outcome here. Should the python path be leading to the project. and MOST IMPORTANTLY: What can i search on youtube or google to get a better perspective on the problems core here. Relative imports should work but its not and its so dumb man, a thing as stupid as imports is taking too long for me to understand

I ran into the same issue needed, you need to have a .env file in the root of the project directory, it should contain OPENAI_API_KEY and PYTHONPATH.

PYTHONPATH is the path to get to your root project directory. It allows module not in the same path within the project to see each other.

Use chatgpt to debug, pass the errors and the code directly to gpt and ask for trouble shooting steps.

I solved it.

i dont think its the best answer but it works so F it.

This is the line i added before the import lines.
"sys.path.insert(0, r'Path/To/Root/Directory')"

This makes the system search for the .py files in the folder you are working in

@Qriscuit I would recommend removing that from the path. I have implemented a fix and updated the readme in the tool_maker subfolder.
