In KiCad 7.0.6, selecting two tracks and clicking on Taper gives the above error.

Hey,
I stumble upon this problem every now and then. It seems that usually I have it when I have very narrow traces <100um which have width that is not an even number, eg: 85um. I change it for 84um, taper works, the line width back to 85um and it is pretty good.
