What would you like to do?

Copy a link to a space like I can for rooms.

Why would you like to do it?

So I can tell people about it out-of-band. In this instance, it's to message them saying "I've invited you to the space".

How would you like to achieve it?

Have a "copy space link" context menu button identical to the "copy room link" context menu button that rooms have.

It'd feel a bit duplicative given that the Invite CTA in spaces also exposes the link.

I would argue that we should have a similar dialog for rooms though that is a different issue

but i don't want to invite people to the space? i just want to link to it...

I would still argue it should be behind an Invite or share button but I feel this was already discussed in relation to rooms?

Just got bitten by this again - and again I failed to think that clicking the 'invite to this space' button would give me a way of finding its URL. I just want to copy a URL so I can share it out of band!

And just got bitten again. It's ridiculous that if you're a normal user in a private space, there is literally no way to link to it in order to refer to it out of band (i had to manually construct a matrix.to URI with its room id, having first enable dev mode to get its room id!!).

Please please please can we get a general 'copy space link' button?
