Goals

We have determined that some users are receiving an error page when navigating through the limited login flow.

Aim
To understand why some users are receiving the following "The link you followed may be broken" message when following the limited login route.

Facebook.mp4

Expected results

The user is greeted with the edit access (if logged in) or login screen (if logged out).

Actual results

It appears that the user is navigating through the facebook homepage and the facebook site itself is handling the link and presenting this error message.

Steps to reproduce

For the user we can get hold of, we have confirmed that they did not have an email account associated to the account, however, we do not believe this is the cause based on attempts to reproduce. We are not able to reproduce this and it has only been evident in a small subset of users.

Code samples & details

There is no relevant code to provide here. The inconsistent nature of the issue points to the notion that the implementation is fine and this may be a problem at the facebook level. We are happy to discuss this further and share code if possible at a later stage.

I'm also experiencing this issue. Could someone from FB please look at this? Thank you!
