INLA Package not in CRAN

Installation stops with error: Error: package 'INLA' is not available

available from another repo here: https://www.r-inla.org/download-install

Need to be added to the installation.

either is included to install automatically or deleted from the dependencies, Otherwise the installation will keep stopping with error code.

+1, unable to complete INLA installation on Mac and Ubuntu. No progress on installing abn so far.

INLA has indeed a few dependencies that are not installed along with it, it seems.

In a Fedora container I found them to be:

udunits2-devel
libjpeg-devel
gdal-devel
geos-devel
proj-devel

On the GitHub Ubuntu runner:

libudunits2-dev
libjpeg-dev
libgdal-dev
libgeos-dev
libproj-dev

Unfortunately, we cannot easily drop our dependency from INLA and thus we've added these extra installation steps (along with other steps required) to the Prior to installing section.
