The Immunization resource does not have an obvious place to capture the immunisation schedule reported against and the schedule value (birth, 2 months, etc).

The AIR records against the National Immunisation Program.

This data is needed to support representation of AIR and other register reporting in Australia and to support enhanced immunisation records in MHR.

vaccination protocol is not appropriate, this set of content is related to clincial protocol or dose series.

Possibly extension of program schedule? Is this more like reference range where more than one can be captured and it should be a two part extension for 1. Program (e.g. NIP or ACIP), and 2. the schedule value (birth, age, or some other value)

f2f comment - can we discuss

  • I think this is covered by 'series' and can specifically state the program and schedule
  • do we need definitional material in every instance if there can be specific names for each - there are a lot yes? i.e. each state, child and adult, WHO
  • should this be a more structured concept e.g. CodeableConcept; could have supporting terminology; FHIR spec ticket?
