Is there any current status available to see whether you are still working on this or whether this has been abandoned?

From what I have found, you were trying to integrate this into twisted directly, but apparently this has stalled as well: twisted/twisted#1274?

I am asking because there does not seem to be much of a choice when trying to find a SMB server for testing purposes which is not stuck at SMBv1 and/or does not consider SMBv2 support as experimental/partially broken.
