What's the current behavior?

It's not well known to users they need to set a defaultDate for the calendar to work correctly. In the spirit of having sensible defaults, I think it makes sense to provide a defaultDate to the uncontrollable HOC.

What's the expected behavior?

Have the calendar "just work" without having to set a defaultDate.
