Overview

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open keepass, unlock ur database, do your things then minimize it (to tray)
  2. After a while it will randomly crash on background

Expected Behavior

Should NOT close/crash

Actual Behavior

The app randomly crashes when it's on background and the database is locked by windows, this makes it really annoying because i don't like to manually put my 50 word master password every time

Context

KeePassXC - Version 2.7.9
Revision: 8f6dd13

Operating System: Windows 11 Home latest ver
Desktop Env: just a normal desktop pc
Windowing System: -

Unfortunately, without a crash dump or amplifying information, there is absolutely nothing we can do to fix this report. This doesn't happen for me on Windows 11, minimized to tray for weeks.

did something in your environment change? i.e. virus scanner or so.
Can you confirm you did not have the crash issue with previous Keepassxc versions or are you a new user? If you are a new user, it may be worth downloading an older version and report if you are having crashes with that one too.

Edit: or maybe try updating your vc_redist too, #10925 (comment)
