This code is not going to work well for deleting a resource:

kuttl/pkg/test/step.go

Lines 205 to 207 in f6d64c9

    
           if err := cl.Delete(context.TODO(), obj); err != nil && !k8serrors.IsNotFound(err) { 
        
           	test.Error(err) 
        
           }

The deletion should be retried.
