Hi. When using this plugin, the biggest problem I am facing is that I can only create one note per date because obviously the plugin is for drafting daily note and the date is the file name. But what I can do with this plugin is limiting since I may have multiple events in a day which require note taking.
Therefore, in order to keep the original function but not to limit ourselves, I suggest that this plugin detects the in-text [[date]], group those corresponding notes and then show on the calendar. Instead of showing the number of words, dots on the date are used to show number of corresponding notes. This allows us to put multiple notes with different names/under different categories on a specific date.
An extra function that can be added is when the cursor move to dot, a preview of that note shows up. If we click the date, we can select which notes we want to open. If we click the dot, a specific note is opened.
Thanks for reading!

Adding dots for backlinks is something I have planned. I had tested it out in an earlier version and found it to be a bit busy for some workflows, but I have some ideas for how to improve that.
As for the second request, I have something similar in mind planned for a future update that should address that.
I was just thinking about this feature while playing with Agenda app. I would love to 'link' my notes to dates instead of creating them via calendar, possibly via auto-detection or any other means.
