Description

Crashing testhost immediately after start reports timeout error independently on how long the actual timeout it.

Steps to reproduce

Set test host debugging and start a test run $env:VSTEST_HOST_DEBUG=1. Once the testhost process starts, kill it.

Alternatively replace the test host executable, with another one that does nothing.

Expected behavior

Test host process exited error to be reported with starndard error output.

Actual behavior

Timeout is reported.
