How do I write a single patch to apply to every instance of a GVK #5

I wanted to add a label to every instance of a particular GVK. The only way I saw to do this was to write a JSON patch file per individual resource, which could be extremely tedious if there are several resources of a particular kind. Do we have a way to write one patch file that we then apply to all instances?
