Has this fix been published? I receive the following type error, on version 2.2.5

No it's not published yet, but it's implemented in #280 and it will be published in tailwindcss-classnames@3.0.0 when tailwindcss v3 is released.

I'm not sure if this feature is implemeted in TailwindCSS v2 or not. If it is, please tell me to reopen this issue

I think this issue could be reopened. Here's the announcement post for 2.2 on their blog, which introduces the syntax.
