It is impossible to use the plugin with Amazon Elasticsearch service

Amazon Elasticsearch service supports only REST API, but
elasticsearch-grails-plugin doesn't support it.

Acually it is the feature request.

Or just host your Elasticsearch instance on EC2 then. That would solve the problem. I believe for AWS specific integrations, it should be handled by the AWS specific Grails plugin development.
