I still use Windows7 and some packages like CRA need >=Node v14 wich is not available for Windows7. #41401

Correct. Windows 7 is not supported for Node.js 14.x or later and that is not something that is going to change. The operating system was end-of-lifed by Microsoft in early 2020. We do not support running Node.js on operating systems that are not supported by the vendor/publisher for obvious reasons.

The open source license grants you the freedom to use Node.js. It does not guarantee commitments of other people's time. Please be respectful and manage your expectations.
