Increase code coverage to 60% line coverage #191

Code coverage on all files in master branch (as of commit #190):
Statement: 44.87%
Branch: 36.5%
Function: 44.17%
Lines: 45%

We should have a goal of increasing this to 60% line coverage. Finishing #27 will help with this goal as well.

Statement: 43.6%
Branch: 34.5%
Function: 43.2%
Line: 43.7%
