Game Center - System Group Container

When using the authenticate method I am seeing this in the console and authentication fails:

[MC] System group container for systemgroup.com.apple.configurationprofiles path is /private/var/containers/Shared/SystemGroup/systemgroup.com.apple.configurationprofiles

[MC] Reading from public effective user settings.

I am pretty new to IOS, but I believe I have set everything up correctly within iTunes connect. Have I overlooked something? Or is this an actual issue?

Does anybody have the authenticate popup working for a non logged in user, four months on and I am still wondering what I was doing wrong here?

Even adding a bounty to stack overflow did not gain me any help here!
