Как синхронизировать существующий календарь Thunderbird с удаленной учетной записью

It is not possible to link existing local calendars directly to a remote account. You have to copy them into the remote account. Thunderbird provides convenient export/import functions to perform the required copy task. Once the calendar has been synced to the remote server, you can remove or hide the original local calendar and only work with the server version in the future.

The following steps describe how to copy the local calendar “Privat” into a remote server account.

Setup your account in the TbSync account manager and subscribe the calendar you want to sync your local Thunderbird calendar to. In this example “Kalender (Outlook)” is used:

Export the local Thunderbird calendar “Privat” to an iCalendar file (*.ics):

TbSync Account Manager

Import that exported iCalendar file again …

… and choose the desired remote calendar as the target:

After the import has finished sync the account and verify on the server (or on another client) that all events are indeed available in the remote account. If so then you can hide the original local calendar and only work with the server calendar from then on. All local changes to the TbSync calendar will by synced to the server and will be available to other clients as well.
