LaTeX does not render in {{type:cloze:Text}}

I have a few multiple cloze cards with LaTeX equations. The equations are subsituted with rendered images after the cloze answer is shown, but not before. I assume anki renders the {{cloze:Text}} field but not {{type:cloze:Text}}.

Is there something wrong with my configurations or is there a workaround?

Hey guys!
I took a look some time ago but I couldn't work on it yet, cause I think I'd require quite some (which I don't have now - sorry).

Still, I'm not sure how it should work, because is rendered as image.
Should the add-on suppress the image, and then you insert the equation as it's typed in the card?
