Q1) When I build the sources, I obtain strange messages at link phase and
link fails.
A1) You need a GNAT for DOS distribution. The library contains
low-level access to hardware (screen, keyboard, mouse,...)
in ways that are DOS-specific
Look at E3D_Info.txt for how to find the right DOS compiler
Q2) Where is the documentation ?
A2) Nowhere, alas. I already have so little time to develop!

A3) There are 5 scenes with that cube. The first is *NOT*
"perspectively correct" at all. If you watch it too long, your
stomach has suddenly strange convulsions.
The other 4 are (or almost). The ones with vertical
and horizontal movement are correct despite the fact
the texture coordinates are linarily interpolated on
the scanlines. Why ? Because the depth doesn't change
along the lines :-). There seems to be no difference
between scene 4 and 5. There is one: the engine chooses
automatically one of the 4 methods provided it looks
correct. Of course the affine ones are much faster.
In old engines, from Wolfenstein 3D to Duke Nukem 3D,
this choice was hardcoded, since vertical things were
always displayed vertical, e.g. .
Engine_3D is a full-movement engine: one has to be a bit smarter.
