Produce Variations?

Is there a way to automatically generate new variations? There is inpaint, but that requires manual input.

In txt2img tab, tick the extra checkbox, and try setting variation strength to 0.07

I see! So to create a variation from an image you previously have created - you input the seed, then check the 'extra' checkbox?

If you are trying to get a variation of an already created png using txt2img then its best to fully load all the same settings you used to create that png in txt2img before you try and make a variation.

Method 1

To reload prompt data from an old png open the image in the PNG Info tab then click Send to txt2img.

Method 2

If you have saved the prompt data in a text file, copy and paste that text into the positive prompt box of txt2img and then load the settings using the ↙️ button.

Once you have txt2img with the same settings you used to generate the original image... then yes check the extra option, change the variation strength and then click generate to get your new image.

Things to note:

This will generate a second image using the same settings as the original image but with a different seed and then combine the output with the original image. So make sure to not set the variation seed to the same seed as the starting image, or just keep it at -1 for a random seed.

A variation strength of 0 will give you the original image. A variation strength of 1 will give you 100% of the other image (Meaning you could have just changed the main seed instead of using the variation settings).

IE: Change the variation strength to something closer to 0 for a little variation and something closer to 1 for a lot.
