It is been a while since any of those four people contributed, reviewed or "ensured that the commits and contributions meet the standards" in any other meaningful way. While we recognize and appreciate the value they brought to the project in the past, I think that it is time to move on and stop misleading possible future contributors about ways to participate in the project.

Let's wait a week and give our current maintainers a chance to react. However, I agree that this project moves forward so fast, that it is impossible to be aware of what's going on without following the development on a at least weekly basis, and that applies especially to maintainers. We can express gratitude to founders and have maintainers of honor in the Readme, but I don't see how people who have stopped contributing to the project months ago can do what maintainer's job takes. |
