Analysing Results

The "Analysis" page will allow you to perform analyses on any data that is loaded on the "Results" page. By click on the "Analysis" tab on the side-bar you will see the Analysis page like so:

On the left is a list of all the types of analysis available. The most general and often most usseful one is the first, called "Automatic Analysis". By selecting this and pressing "Analyse", FetCh will look at what quantities are extractable from the loaded results and what parameters they have been measured over in an attempt to figure out what sort of plots you'd likely be wanting.

For instance, if we have loaded a set of conductivity measurements that were measured at different temperature values (by using a temperature sweep), it will determine that you probably want a plot of Conductivity vs Temperature, like so:

You can also click on the "Tables" tab to see the data tables corresponding to each plot as well. This allows you to export the processed data as a csv file to plot elsewhere (i.e. MATLAB or Origin etc).

In the case where we have conductivity measurements at different temperature values from multiple different devices loaded, it will do much the same but split the data into series based on the device it was from:

As a somewhat different example, let's say we now have a single Output Curve measurement of an FET loaded. Performing an automatic analysis in this case will give us plots of linear and saturation mobility against sorce-drain and source-gate voltage in various forms like so:

If you want to save all plots, all table or both you can do so by pressing the "Save..." button above the list of analysis types.
