Moved here from Linear issue: CS-272

at minimum a demo where we animate relatively many things at the same time (in an automated manner?) so we can keep an eye on (at least visual) performance during development.

Ideally we'd also be able to keep track of memory footprint once we start generating a lot of keyframes?
