The now unmaintained project TopIcons-plus has the feature to convert the icons in the tray to grayscale.

It would be great if this was also supported by unite-shell.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi, this is not working anymore on Ubuntu 22.04 with gnome-shell 42.4. Any idea why?

EDIT: sorry for the noise, this is caused by gnome-shell-extension-appindicator. And as you mentioned, you don't support appindicator.
