As of 5757f36, the
numpy.matrixtype has been superseded withnumpy.ndarray. The pull request deletes all obsolete code that refers to the avoidablenumpy.matrixtype and relatednumpyfunctions (matrix,asmatrix). Code comments has been updated accordingly.
