Supplies

  • LED diffusion : I use a surface mount aluminium profile with an opal diffuser. The diffuser is important to reduce the spotting of the LED.

  • Frame material : I use aluminium,but you can use any material like wood, PVC....etc. Just be careful to avoid short-circuit with conductive material.

  • Handle : I use an old Kitesurf board handle, but a “T” configuration with the grip at the center provide more options (such as spinning).

Build examples

WARNING : ImagePainting render bitmap from the side where the LED strip connect to the ESP8266. That means you will use your frame cable towards the ground.
