Hello, I would like to formulate a problem that involves lenses and refraction with mitsuba 3, but I just wanted to ask how is a ray refracted via a surface, vs a solid in Mitsuba3? If I have two glass surfaces, like B, would I expect the Ray to pass out from the second surface as shown in the diagram? And would a solid glass object treat the entry and exit surfaces individually such that the position of the intersection of the Ray and top surface of the glass solid is different from the position of the intersection of the ray and the bottom surface of the glass solid? |

Hi @h-OUS-e You'll want to take a look at documentation of the dielectric plugin (and thindielectric plugin for the figures). |

Hi @h-OUS-e
You'll want to take a look at documentation of the dielectric plugin (and thindielectric plugin for the figures).
All 4 options (is there a difference between C and D) in your diagram are possible by just assigning the
dielectric
BSDF to yourShape
.
