This extension (aims to) fixes the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS GNOME Shell bug triggered when changing wallpapers
Patches Ubuntu 18.04 LTS to fix GNOME Shell bug #501 and Ubuntu bug #1787822 caused by run_dispose being run on background object. This hot patch updates Background object and BackgroundManager to fix this unwanted behaivour (which stalls the shell and throws errors). This extension should only be used on GNOME 3.33.2 or below.
This extension does nothing more than replace the faulty functions within background.js with versions from patched versions of these functions from GNOME Shell 3.33.3. This only really applies to users of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, as later versions have had support discontinued and the subsequent 20.04 LTS has this bug fixed.
