Closing this in favor of the merged PR #446
Note that PR is on 2.x, let's just bump main to 3.0 instead

Hi @downsrob , bumping the version to 3.0 is failing due to notifications not being on 3.0 yet . To unblock my PR which needs latest OpenSearch changes on main , I plan to backport same changes to main . Sounds good ?
