When viewing or creating a flem, the foreground color is so dark its very hard to read.

It also doesn't appear to be syntax highlighting anything.

This appeared to have happened overnight.

OS: macOS Big Sur 11.1
Browser:

  • Brave version 1.18.78 Chromium: 87.0.4280.141 (Official Build) (x86_64)
  • Chrome (with no extensions) version 87.0.4280.141 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Hmm.. Big Sur and same chrome version here, but I don't see that issue. (I tested with both the dark and light macos themes)

The application cache error is to expected since flems.io still uses the old deprecated HTML5 offline cache features.

It indeed looks like it's just syntax highlighting missing.

Yeah it's really strange. I can't recreate it on my Linux laptop or my home MacBookPro. It's only happening at work. I'll keep investigating.

I'll try Firefox tomorrow and maybe another codemirror site to see if it's the same issue.

This could be related to microsoft/vscode#100840, adobe-fonts/source-code-pro#250, and the fix was to re-install Source Code Pro on macOS from here: https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-code-pro/releases.

Thanks a lot @jorgebucaran

This completely resolved the issue. It also fixed an issue I was having with Sublime Text.

Never mind, I fixed it by brew Tap homebrew/cask-fonts && brew reinstall --cask font-source-code-pro, leaving the command here for any future help to folks like me.
