This configuration has not yet been tested on an alpha-family machine.
Otherwise, this script runs too early and fails, as the "backup-ssh" user has not yet been created.
Also improves error reporting on failed assertions.

This moves files from the old configuration to the
legacyfolder, and symlinkslegacy/default.nixasdefault.nixin the repository root, so the merged result should still work with machines running the previous config.
