Files and R code for the "Long-term fire-vegetation change: data-based challenges" workshop (February 2023, Göttingen, Germany)
This training is meant to give an introduction to trend and peak detection analysis using the 'tapas' R package, an alternative to the Matlab-coded CharAnalysis software (Higuera et al., 2009).
To actively follow the training session, it is useful to have the following ready:

Install on your computer a recent version of
- R (https://cran.r-project.org/index.html) and
- RStudio Desktop (https://posit.co/downloads/).

Install the 'tapas' R package from Rstudio's command line:
