All the indices (big suit markers) on the court cards are clipped (partially cut of). I guess this might be intentional, but IMHO it looks bad. Could they perhaps be redesigned to avoid the clipping?
Also, the clipping isn’t perfect. At least for the heart and clubs indices, thin slivers of the symbols are visible outside the clipped areas. (You might have to zoom in for this to be visible.)

it's intentional and it's indeed the traditional french design.
The clipping should be redone though with svg operators rather than the old
white square I've put on them.

They were designed a long time ago when screens were not as good as today.
And software zoom neither
